50 Shades of Jamdani Saree!

Jamdani is basically a “Bengali Muslin Textile” that has been produced for centuries and is a classic material that never faded away! The historic production of Jamdani was patronized by imperial warrants of the Mughal Emperors. That’s why it gives a sense of Royalty! Doesn’t it?

Here, wore a black Jamdani styled like “Frida Kahlo” who is a Mexican painter. I was inspired by her style and gave it a Desi vibe!

There’s some speculation about the Jamdani Saree that it’s just wearable for “thin women!” Because the material is slightly thick. So it makes a woman thicker than they actually are. Do I agree with the statement? Not really! Nowadays, due to the high demand for Jamdani Saree, there are so many variations in the materials. The makers even make it transparent these days!

Wearing a white Jamdani (which is my favorite) and styling it with colorful bangles, statement neckpiece, and bindi so that mom doesn’t complain, it’s not the appropriate age to wear a white Saree!

Is a Saree a boring or old-fashioned outfit?! Many generations of Z’s made fun of it in front of me! But I think, Saree can be one of the most attractive attire and I am not biased! This is why my goal was to style it not only in the traditional way but more creatively as possible. It can be as interesting as a swimsuit on a summer beach! Haha!

Every time I want to buy a new Jamdani Saree, I get asked don’t I have enough? I guess most of the girls/women can relate to that! But even if they are the same color, Each Saree’s design is different from one another!

And we can never get enough Sarees! Having said that, I believe in sustainable fashion, And I barely have space for more Sarees! So I try to style one Saree differently! If you are not a QA analyst (Detail Oriented) by any means, you won’t pick up that it’s the same Saree! Trust me! So Styling is the key!

The first time I wore a Jamdani was a red Jamdani on valentines day! I was so young and wasn’t supposed to wear a Saree in fact! But I did love the Jamdani Saree back then even when it wasn’t that popular!

There are different forms of Jamdani Sarees, Dhakai Jamdani (which is original), Tangail Jamdani, Half Silk Jamdani which is quite popular lately and one of my favorites, and Cotton Jamdani (My least favorite), and many more!

Well, during this violet Jamdani shoot, some of the people from different ethnicity gave me complement that, I look absolutely gorgeous in that Saree! I was not only happy for getting compliments but also to be able to represent my country, especially to those who didn’t have much experience or ideas about our culture!

There are so many bold colors to soft & soothing colors that can be appropriate for any occasion. Say it to award functions to wedding events, perhaps Date Nights or Just for making TikTok (Social Media Glam) or just for yourself, just to feel good! Wear a Jamdani Saree!

It’s Trendy as well as Classic, Its Legacy, it's Royalty! It’s certainly not boring, it’s wrapped with our emotion, seduction, confidence in one piece, and soulful attire that brings a smile to everyone’s face!
